Change

So a big boy would tell a little boy
'Here is ten cents, now get me
from the tuck shop
two patties, a coco-bread, a sugar bun
a toto, a lice of cheese, and a cream soda;
and make sure you bring back the change.
They always picked the boys with the wavy hair,
clear eyes, and money in their skins.
They always got back change.
