Poetry Workshops

Kwame Dawes conducts workshops in the writing and appreciation of poetry for writers at all levels of their development. He has led workshops throughout the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. In 2002 he led workshops with the Arvon Foundation, Poetry International and the Poetry School in the UK, he has been a regular workshop leader and tutor for the Spread the Word arts organization in London.

Dawes designs workshops according to the needs of a particular group or organization. His workshops approach writing through a series of imaginative exercises that are geared at generating strong poetry.
